Trattoria 51: Experience Authentic Italian Cuisine in Liverpool

Blown away by this little gem! I had spotted this place on find me gluten free and after seeing all the positive reviews decided to give it a try. The atmosphere on walking in was lovely and we was greeted by a lovely gentleman at the door who we later got chatting to called Yohan. I was amazed by the insane amount of gluten free options on the menu, never have I been to a restaurant where you can order gluten free lasagne, so of course that’s what I got, I also shared a gluten free garlic bread with my husband and had the caprise starter, my husband had the calamari and seafood linguine!! Now when I say this food was on another level… the lasagne was perfect, the gluten free garlic bread wasn’t like your normal frisbee type gluten free rubbish you get in most places you could literally tell the dough had been freshly made!! My husband absolutely loved his and honestly there wasn’t a single thing we could fault!! Special thanks to the lovely gentleman yohan he genuinely was the most loveliest person and you can tell he really cares about his customers and takes an interest in the people he is serving! I will most definitely be back..

Lovely food, staff attentive we went early never booked but by 8pm the place was very busy good atmosphere.

The food service was quick and nice, but staff were not quick to be attentive to the table. If they were busy, that would be understandable, but we were the only people in the restaurant for around an hour. Didn't ask us if we wanted any more drinks and never gave an option for a desert menu.

Fantastic meal with friendly attentive staff & a great family style atmosphere. We had the seafood linguini, which was as good as any & gave that holiday meal feeling. Will definitely return whilst in Liverpool as every plate of food that came out the kitchen looked great. .

Wow , the most authentic cutest Italian! We loved it ! The portion sizes were amazing and the staff were so lovely! The manager was so so sweet and we loved the food so much . Will definitely be returning

Amazing Italian food! We have the focaccia nduja & fresh burrata as an appetizer, pizza 51, penne polo crema. The service is great, waiters are very friendly and helpful. Their cocktails are delicious and reasonably priced. They take reservations or walk in, I’d recommend a reservation for dinner Thursdays and throughout the weekend. They offer SO many gluten free options, almost their whole menu. The gluten free pasta and pizza are delicious!!!

We had reserved a table and went there for early evening meal. The staff were attentive and everything went well. We got served promptly with drinks and then waited for about 20 minutes for our first course. From where I sat I could see the kitchen staff working hard. I honestly liked that we weren't rushed between drinks and food service, and why should we? I love the idea of going for a restaurant meal and not being unduly hurried. Lovely. Food was excellent too. The only thing I couldn't work out was what the 51 stood for.
